KOFFI AFANDOLO, born in the capital city of Lome in Togo, West Africa,
first began drawing at the age of 10. The son of a carpenter and a
businesswoman, Koffi began his artistic journey drawing on paper,
cardboard, and plywood using Crayola crayons and house paint. A graduate
of Togo Nouveau High School, Kofu is a self-trained artist who,
today, works in oil, watercolor, and acrylics on a variety of surfaces
such as canvas, paper, linen, slate, cardboard, and plywood.
Koffi first sold his art at the tender age of 15. His work often reflects
his love for nature, and the day-to-day and spiritual side of life.
Represented in Togo by Ama d’Almeida at the Studio des Art es Decoratifs Publicitaires, Koffi’s work hangs in many prestigious
public buildings in Africa, such as the Togo Ministry of Art and Culture; the French Embassy in Togo; the United States Embassy in Togo, and the United States Embassy in neighboring
Benin.
Based in the United States since 1995, Koffis work hangs in the collections of africanbeat.com and Gwen George. Exhibits of his work include shows at the Central California Art League, and the Hollywood Bowl.
A former member of the National WaterColor Society, and fluent in
English, French, and Ewe, Koffi is available for private or group
workshops, or for special portrait sittings and scenic adventures.
