Delight in this acclaimed series of free outdoor concerts, held at sunset, featuring the best in world music.

During Sunset Concerts, Zeidler’s Café offers a delicious buffet dinner starting at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required. Call (310) 440-4515 during regular hours (Tuesday–Sunday, 12:00–4:00 p.m.). Lighter fare is also available at the concerts. Note: No outside alcoholic beverages permitted. Parking: $5. Carpooling Encouraged!

U.S. debut! As one of its founders and certainly its most famous interpreter, the exuberant Jaojoby (pronounced djo-djoob) is the undisputed king of salegy, an electric dance music of Madagascar unlike anything in the West. The incomparable genre features a powerful rhythm with delicate instrumentation inspired by tradition. Jaojoby performs with his ten-piece ensemble.

Fusing the ancient and the modern to create a soulful and uplifting sound, Atash (Farsi for “fire”) draws from the improvisational elements of jazz, Indian, and Middle Eastern music—the raw energy of rock, and the intricacies of Western classical music. Atash features gifted musicians—of American, Iranian, and African descent—John Moon, Mohammad Firoozi, Roberto Riggio, Jason McKenzie, Dylan Jones, and Alseny Sylla, playing a wide array of instruments from around the world.
