WHAT TO  EXPECT WHEN  TOURING  GHANA

HOSPITALITY - Ghana is called "Little U.S." by the locals because of all the great restuarants and shopping. Ghanaians are warm and friendly people. Your welcome is guaranteed!

TRADITION - Visit villages and cultures little influenced by by modern technology and tourism. Learn about Ghana's traditional cultures, languages, history, and traditions.

WEATHER - Ghana is just north of the equator. In the autumn Ghana temperatures usually range in the 90's Autumn is slightly cooler. Bring light clothing, hats, towel, bathing suit, and sunscreen.

GIFTS - Feel free to bring gifts for the new African friends you will make. Things like new baseball hats, Tshirts, jeans, make-up, batteries, and children's clothing are always welcome as gifts.

COME PREPARED - Please check our LINKS page and research websites and books to get the most from your journey. Learn about the history, customs, and cultures of Ghana.

VISAS - Passports and Visas are required to visit Ghana. We must have your passport and four new passport photos in hand by August 1, 2005 so we can send it directly to the Ghana Embassy in New York to get your required visa. Your passport will be returned to you once your visa is obtained.

IMMUNIZATION - No vaccinations are required, but we strongly suggest you bring Malaria pills and update all your regular vaccinations (such as tetnus).

BAGGAGE - Two standard suitcases and 1 carry-on are allowed. Remember to pack light as you will most likely be purchasing a lot of item to bring back home.
